A Special Thanks
to Our Donors!

Thank you for your generous donation. Your gift enables us to provide several chess events for kids in the Greater Fremont Area throughout the year. Chessfest cannot take place without your help!  Donations go towards the rental of necessary equipment, awards for our players, and offset costs of registration for our local families who need assistance.

As you (hopefully) are already aware, Fremont has been host to one of the largest chess events in Nebraska since 2010, Fremont Chessfest, hosted by Fremont ChessFest, Inc. f/k/a Imaginarium, a local (Fremont based) non-profit organization.  Fremont Chessfest is a special event for beginning players, experienced players, and all levels in between, for grades K-12, for the young people in Fremont, and surrounding communities.
Research has determined there are many positive benefits for children who play chess, some of which include: Concentration, Logical Reasoning, Good Sportsmanship, Responsibility, Critical Thinking, Memory Skills, Problem Solving, Analysis, Planning Ahead, Dealing with Situations, Learning from Mistakes, Complex Decision Making
